Ahava Baptist Church

"Then I proclaimed a fast there at the river of Ahava, that we might humble ourselves before our God to seek from Him a safe journey for us, our little ones, and all our possessions."
Ezra 8:21

Missions Philosophy

At Ahava Baptist Church, our goal is to fulfill the mandate given to us by the Lord Jesus Christ to make disciples of all the nations. As ambassadors of the kingdom of God, we must proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ to a dying world. God has chosen the Church as the vehicle by which this Good News will be proclaimed in our day. Therefore, we seek to accomplish this task in the following ways.

  • We seek to be a Church that equips the Saints so that they will be able to communicate clearly the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those with whom they come into contact on a regular basis. We want to actively reach our local community for Jesus Christ.
  • We seek to be a Church that supports missionary families who desire to offer themselves as full-time missionaries for the Lord Jesus Christ. Support would include financial assistance as well as logistical support. This support will include both domestic and international missionaries. See below for how some of our missionary families are serving the Lord around the world.
  • We seek to be a Church that develops and trains missionaries within our own congregation and sends them to missionary fields as God leads.
  • We seek to be a Church that sends Short-Term Missionaries to support vocational missionaries.
  • We seek to be a Church that plants local Churches, as God leads.
